The latest portable fiscal cash register from Novitus: small dimensions – great benefits!
Modern technology enclosed in a handy and ergonomic casing, dedicated for people performing mobile or traditional sales with a limited store counter space.
Despite the compact size of the device, its capabilities are extensive.
It is the first mobile fiscal cash register in Poland providing the functionality of the electronic journal, according to the guidelines of the Minister of Finance dated November 28, 2008. The electronic journal significantly decreases the device operating costs, as receipts are printed on one wide paper and the second paper roll is not used up for copies. The printout copy rolls had to be stored for a few years, which took space, and the legibility of rolls was minimal after barely a few months. With this cash register, the printout copy is recorded electronically on a small SD card (as in photo cameras). One card may be sufficient for a few years of cash register operation. A 2GB card can store more than a million receipts of 30 lines each (representing the sales of approx. 7 articles). Data stored on the card are accessible to the user and can be printed directly on the cash register or read with a standard PC. The data can also be used to generate required reports with use of a PC. The electronic journal facilitates paper installation and change. Additionally, the use of clamshell printing mechanism makes this operation very easy – just “drop in and print". All users, and especially these utilizing the printer for portable operation, will appreciate the solution.
The high quality printing mechanism from Fujitsu, a renowned manufacturer, rapidly and quietly prints receipts, and the necessary reports. The cash register operation program intelligently manages the “condensing” of all printouts, in order to maximally save paper and not to leave empty spaces between printouts. The cash register has two blue alphanumeric displays, with two lines, 16 characters per line, to inform the cashier about the device operation, facilitate programming and sales, and inform the customer about sold products, prices and payable amounts.
An alphanumeric keyboard makes it easy to handle and program the cash register or to generate reports. Attractively backlit, colorful cash register keyboard with marked clear information utilizes precise action switches, making the keyboard very friendly and pleasant in handling. The top layer of the keyboard is made of silicon, accurately fitted to the cash register casing to protect the interior electronics against dirt or accidentally spilled liquids. The keyboard also features four function keys F1-F4, which can be programmed as one-touch sales keys or shortcuts to specific cash register functions (specific report, programming, etc.).
The cash register can communicate with a computer through a modern USB port or the traditional RS232 interface with use of the most popular communication protocol in Poland. Additionally, the cash register can be connected to a bar code scanner, electronic scales, modem, payment terminal or a PIN pad. The printed article name can have up to 18 alphanumeric characters.
Bottom of the cash register has a special recess designed with an accessible internal communication socket for installation of an additional Bluetooth module for wireless communication between the cash register and a PC (in the same manner as mobile phones communicate with each other or with a computer). With the module installed, the cash register can be operated in a portable manner, as it communicates with a PC without any additional connection cables.
A very important feature of every portable device is the battery power. NANO E cash register is specially designed, so it can print even 2.5 thousand receipts with 30 lines each without the external power supply, which allows for a few days of work. This is made possible through application of a processor and subsystems with very advanced energy management, putting the specific elements to sleep mode, when not in use, and a Li-ion battery with capacity of 2Ah. When the announcement prompting for battery recharging is displayed, you are still able to print up to 300 receipts. The battery charging is signaled with a red light; the light turns green when the battery is full. Additionally, the cash register power supply has a form of battery pack (e.g. as in cameras), which can be removed from the cash register and charged from an adapter outside of the cash register, while working on a backup battery.
The SD card socket (for electronic journal) in the front panel is covered with a plastic cap, protecting against dirt and liquids. Side panel communication ports can be also protected with a similar cap, when no cables are connected.
The list of optional accessories available for the cash register includes special hand, shoulder or belt straps and holds for portable work.
Among the software functions of the cash register, some also are specially noteworthy in this class of equipment: online communication with a PC, receipt buffer and the support for parking lot handling and bus routes.
