Frequently Asked Questions

Fiscal cash register is able to operate as a standalone device.   Sales registration in the cash register is performed by inputting sold article (or service) codes directly on the keyboard or with use of a scanner. Names of sold articles/services must be earlier pre-programmed in the cash register’s memory. Registering printer is a fiscal complementation of a sales station based on a computer and sales software. The cash receipt is issued by the software, and the printer only prints the ready receipt and registers sale in its memory.

Cash registers Frigo II – as well as practically all cash registers based on Tango protocol (i.e.: Tango, Małe Tango, Rumba, Bravo, Frigo, Bonita, System, Fiesta, Frigo II, Bonita II, Tipo, Minitax and PS3000) can be programmed and read with use of our support software Tango98 available (free of charge!) on our website.

Unfortunately, there is no way to delete such numbers. The numbers were stored in the fiscal memory after the devices were connected to the cash register (or the cash registers to the taximeters). If the cash registers were only connected as a part of tests made by the technical support personnel, record this fact in the maintenance log of the cash register and specify the unique/serial numbers of the connected technical support devices.

The cash registers PS2000 and CR280 used to control the drawer with 24V current. Cash register Rumba also uses the same current to open the drawer.

Shift report can be performed as a non-zeroing one (just the way you do it) or a zeroing one. Both reports are available through our support software WikingPL available on our website.

Printer control application must give the command to perform the zeroing report. You do not need to configure any printer  controls for this purpose. If the application cannot perform the function, request the application developers to add such option. The necessary materials  (communication protocol) are also available on our website.

Unfortunately no. The cash register’s article database memory is not expandable. There are no legal or technical possibilities to perform such operation.

Cash register options contain one more function – Active Drawer – which needs to be turned on. When the option is toggled on, the cash register will open the drawer after the completion of each cash receipt, during cash acceptance, cash issuance, and while printing cash balance/cashier reports.

Resolution of the Minister of Finances dated July 4, 2002 on criteria and technical conditions to be satisfied by the cash registers and the terms and conditions of application of such cash registers by the taxpayers describes in detail the specific cash register printouts and the items to be displayed there.

The Resolution determines that only the daily report, the full periodical report and the full monthly report are the correct fiscal documents. These reports bear the full fiscal markings: FISCAL descriptor, PL logo and the full unique number (three letters and eight digits). The short reports bear only a NON-FISCAL descriptor and only the digits from the unique number.

As far as Małe Tango or Rumba cash registers are concerned, it is technically feasible, but not allowed from a legal standpoint. According to the decision of the Minister of Finances approving these devices for sale, the cash registers can exist in versions with 1 or 3 RS232 ports. However, it is also determined that the selection and configuration of such version shall be made before the cash register is passed to a customer (in general – during the manufacturing process). As far as other cash registers are concerned, there are no technical possibilities to perform such operation.

The mandatory technical review of the cash register must be performed once a year. The review is executed at taxpayer’s request by an authorized service point (Resolution of the Minister of Finances dated July 4, 2002, Journal of Laws no. 108, item 948, published on April 17, 2002).
